At a time when colleges and providers need to offer more innovative and cost effective models of delivery to a wider range of learners there is an ever-growing demand, from not only the learners themselves, but from employers and the funding agencies, to be able to access more flexible, non-traditional, “non classroom based” education and training opportunities.
This conference will examine current institutional and partnership models of blended and distance learning, the benefits to learners, the challenges for colleges and providers and their importance in the delivery of knowledge and skills for specific programmes including Apprenticeships, employer based training, Pre-Employment courses, Adult and Community Learning and other full and part-time programmes across the post 16 and 19 plus Sectors.
The conference will also include a review of current funding formulae and their implications for colleges and other providers. The day will include presentations and discussions on:
The day will be led by BEEJ KACZMARCZYK, Sector Training’s Principal Consultant who is nationally recognised for his expertise on post 16 funding and planning. The conference will also include presentations from curriculum planning expert, Ainsley Cheetham, ICT consultant, Dave Foord and Sandra Furby, Director of Learning and Development at Tribal.
